PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS:
First and foremost, a
problem-solving process is the act of problem defining, determining the cause
of problems. Identifying, prioritizing, and selecting alternatives for a
solution and implementing a solution. In order to effectively manage a run a
successful organization, leadership must guide their employees and develop
problem-solving techniques. Therefore, our team are here to explain how we
carry out a problem-solving process effectively regarding to the discussed
topic. There are few important steps that are required in a problem-solving
process. The processes are defining the problem, generating alternative
solutions, evaluating and select an alternative and implement and follow up on
the solution.
In our project our team executed a
very smooth and efficient problem-solving process to the problem, Teacher’s
difficulties in E-Learning. On the first step of this project, we introduced all
our team members, assigning responsibilities for each group members and conducted
discussion to find a topic to talk about. Therefore, we came to a conclusion
with our team members and our supervisor, Mdm. Siti Fatihah, that the selected
topic is suitable for us to discuss. Furthermore, in the step 2 of our project,
we started the first step of problem-solving session, which is defining the
problems. The tasks were distributed accordingly. We identify the problems that
teacher’s face in online teaching and analyse the root causes of the problems. In
step 3, our team members generated alternative solutions by reviewing the existing
solution. Then, the solutions are being evaluated by using SWOT analysis.
Furthermore, in step 4, our team
will create an idea, which that we think that are useful for the problems. And
finally at Step 5, we will conduct an interview with an expert, to ask for
his/her opinion regarding the problems and solutions.
CREATING AN IDEA (PROBLEM 1)
To conduct
activity during every weekend through online between teachers, students and
parents to further strengthen the relationship of friendship with each other
for the benefit of the students or their children. Despite
teachers' and parents' hectic schedules, their children's education must not be
overlooked, and their emotions and lessons must be acknowledged through
activities held every weekend, not necessarily once a week, but at least once a
month to strengthen the relationship between parents, teachers, and students.
Parents must supervise their children's internet learning activities. This
would greatly help parents and their children, since their futures will be well-cared
for and brighter, allowing them to lead the country in the future.
CREATING AN IDEA (PROBLEM 2)
Teachers to conduct short but informative and attractive asynchronous classes. Asynchronous classes can be very helpful to the students to learn without worrying the internet problem. However, a duration of a pre-recorded video prepared by schoolteachers sometimes are too long for the students. And this makes them lost interested in following up to the end of the teaching video. Therefore, teachers should try to find ways and be creative, to make the teaching videos looks interesting and informative within a reasonably short duration as possible. The teachers should also be fully committed in the recordings. For example, making fun but meaningful teaching content in the recordings and not just reading directly off their slides. Besides, preparing asynchronous classes doesn’t mean teachers can have a day off during their normal teaching schedule (as arranged in their school timetable). The teachers should be always ready for students that have question at allocated time slot. In short, teachers must be first committed, and then the students will follow. We believe the efforts that teachers put in in the recordings will be highly appreciated by the students.

CREATING AN IDEA (PROBLEM 3)
Attend
Tech Tool Learning (T & L) and E-Learning courses specifically for teachers.
The professional training of teachers in this course aims to ensure that
teachers receive adequate guidance and instruction to conduct E-Learning for
distance learning. These skills also allow teachers to feel more comfortable
and confident in using technology for education. For the best experience,
teachers are advised to follow the modules chronologically to see the journey
of E-Learning as a whole. This online course uses the Ministry of Education
Malaysia (MOE) digital E-Learning platform and guides teachers to build and
manage online classes using Google Education products such as Google Classroom,
Google Docs, Google Slides, Jamboard and more.
CREATING AN IDEA (PROBLEM 4)
Create
a comfortable environment among student. Students
can sit in a place away from noisy atmosphere during online learning such as
being in a room or outside the house (still in the home area). Students now need to be creative, to avoid
the situation becoming more uncomfortable, students can invite younger siblings
to do activities that they are interested in (AVOID activities that involve
voice) to avoid them being noisy while online learning is being carried out.
